📍 Surveyor Annual License Exam 2025

Sri Lanka Survey Department

The Sri Lanka Survey Department will conduct the 2025 license exam for registered surveyors (excluding departmental staff) under provisions of Sections 41(2) & 37(e) of the Survey Act No. 17 of 2002. Exam venue: Diyatalawa Institute of Surveying and Mapping.

🧾 Exam Format

• Part I: Land Surveying and Levelling (Pass: 60%)
• Part II: Plan Work (Pass: 60%)

All measurements must follow metric units and Department regulations.

📘 Topics Covered

• Survey instruments: chains, tapes, theodolites, GNSS, total stations
• Land surveying, ethics, legal framework, public relations
• Field notes, boundary marking, inspection notes
• Plan & file preparation using AutoCAD / TLDB / ZWCAD / SDCAD
• Area & contour maps, scale calculations, coordinate sheets
• GNSS control points, SLCORSnet, RTK (Radio/GSM/Network)

🧾 Eligibility & Required Documents

• Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or equivalent
• Valid Registration with the Land Survey Council

Rs. 20,000 (non-refundable). Pay at:
